Commemoration of all the Faithful Departed (All Souls Day)

Memorial Mass 2023

There will be a special Memorial Mass held on Thursday, November 2nd at 7:00pm.  This Mass is to honour the loved ones of our parishioners that have passed away this past year, even if their funeral was not at St. Maurice.  Your loved one(s) names will be announced at the Mass and you will receive a blessed candle to take home with you.  If you have not been contacted by our parish office, please call them at 613-224-1892 or send an email to office@stmauriceparish.com.  Also, please feel to call me at 613-224-0284 or email at marycourchainesheridan60@gmail.com.

Prayer for the faithfully departed, by St. Alphonsus Liguori

My God! I recommend to Thee the souls of my relations, my benefactors, my friends, and my enemies, and of those who are in purgatory on my account.  I recommend to Thee the souls of evangelical laborers, of religious and priests, and especially of those who had charge of my soul.  I recommend to Thee the souls of those who were most devout to the Passion of our Lord, to the Blessed Sacrament, to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the souls who are most abandoned, those who suffer most, and those who are nearest to the entrance into paradise.
