Holy Days of Obligation

This year, both Christmas and Mary, Mother of God, fall on Mondays. Both solemnities are holy days of obligation and have anticipated Masses on Sunday evenings. This sometimes leads people to believe that you can attend one mass on Sunday and cover both the regular Sunday obligation plus the additional obligation. This is not the case. As Catholics, we are required to attend two separate Masses to celebrate both solemnities and satisfy our obligations. Here are recommended options for you and your family to choose from:

            Dec. 24th Sun. 11 am

Christmas Obligation: (Choose 1)

            Dec. 24th Sun. 4 pm

            Dec. 25th Mon. 9 am

            Dec. 25th Mon. 11 am

 

Dec 30th – Jan 1st

Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Obligation: (Choose 1)
