A Warm Welcome and a Heartfelt Farewell

Some of you have had the pleasure of meeting our new office administrator, Alfred Lai. He started working in the parish office over the summer, and we would like to formally welcome him to St. Maurice Parish! Alfred is gifted with technical and administrative skills, and he has been a blessing to us. Please feel free to pop into the office and say “Hello”!

As people’s life circumstances change, Perry DeBellefeuille has decided it is time for retirement and will be leaving St. Maurice Parish on October 9th. Perry has worked tirelessly as our Facilities Manager to keep our parish clean and safe and to assist ministry leaders with setting up their events…and always with a smile! We will miss Perry’s loyalty and wish him all the best as he begins his new adventure. Please wish him well when you see him!  We will be introducing Perry’s replacement soon, so stay tuned.

Our Evangelism and Discipleship Team Lead, Avery Burrowes, has accepted a chaplaincy position and will be sharing his Team Lead responsibilities with Pauline McGrath. Pauline worked in a supportive role last year as Team Lead Assistant and will now be Evangelism and Discipleship’s Co-Team Lead. Avery will lend support to the Invitation and Community ministries and school outreach. Pauline will support the Equip ministries as well as assist Fr. Ben with his special events. Both Avery and Pauline will continue to support the Encounter ministries.
