  1. Lord, we thank You for this new year and all the potential that it holds. Fill the months ahead with peace and hope beyond all measure, and fill our souls with Your amazing love.
  2. Lord, grant unity to the Body of Christ. Draw all Christians together, and grant that we may love the Lord our God … and our neighbour … as ourselves. May all be one who, in you, live and move and have their being.
  3. Lord, we pray for those in our RCIA program, sacramental preparation classes and other faith formation. May they be filled with the Holy Spirit and may their witness inspire others to follow the same path.
  4. Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit on all those making their First Reconciliation this month. Kindle in their hearts a great love for this healing sacrament, and give them an ever-deepening desire to be close to You.
  5. Lord, free our world from conflict. Transform hearts and give wisdom to world leaders. Bring peace to troubled nations and bring comfort and hope to all who suffer the effects of violence and war.
  6. Lord, bring conversion to all who do not yet know your saving grace. Inspire us to proclaim Your Word with confidence and to evangelize all those we meet in our everyday lives.
  7. Lord, shower your blessings upon all families at St. Maurice. Keep us mindful of the sacredness of the family, and its beauty in God's plan. Bless, especially, the Hockey Day in Canada at St. Maurice event. Fill the day with laughter, and the hearts of all who participate with Your joy.
