Intentions for AUGUST 2025
- Lord, we pray for the continued relaxation and renewal - both physical and spiritual – of all those taking vacation. May they find rest, especially rest in you, Lord.
- Lord, draw many to the overnight adoration vigil in honour of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and draw many to the Queenship of Mary Temporary Vows celebration. May these events kindle in them a profound encounter with your divine love, and a deep infilling of the Holy Spirit.
- Lord, shower down your graces upon our Vacation Bible School. Bless every volunteer; may they be a reflection of your kindness, patience and wisdom. Fill every child with your presence; may they leave knowing their true identity as your beloved sons and daughters, loved beyond all measure.
- Lord, embrace the Companions of the Cross as they gather to celebrate their Mass of Anniversaries and Commitments. Continue to shower your many graces upon them; nourish and inspire them in your Holy Spirit as they work to bring about your kingdom here on earth.
- Lord, we come before you today with hearts full of hope and anticipation for the new school year and a return to regular routines. As families and teachers prepare for the days ahead, fill them with your guidance, strength, and peace.

- Lord, we thank you for the gift of St. Joseph, the Worker. St. Joseph, teach us to work with patience and perseverance for God and for those we love and support. Open our hearts to recognize You in our colleagues, and give wisdom and hope to those looking for work.
- Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon the children taking part in the Sacramental Retreat. May their encounter with You stir in their hearts a great love of the Sacraments that will nourish a lifetime of spiritual growth.
- Lord, shower Your blessings upon the children receiving their First Holy Communion, as well as their leaders, and their families. May their encounter with the living Christ inspire a profound love of You in the Holy Eucharist.
- Lord, anoint our Surge evening this month. Set the hearts of all who take part ablaze through powerful encounter with You. Fill them with zeal for more of You through Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacraments, and Praise & Worship.
- Lord, we thank you for the gift we had in Pope Francis. We pray for the repose of his soul, and ask You to bring him quickly into heaven with You. Speak deeply to Your Cardinals in their choosing of the next Pope. Fine-tune their hearts to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Let Your will be done!
- Lord, lavish your blessings upon our new Pope. Guide and inspire his pontificate, and grant him good health. Imbue him with abundant spiritual gifts that he may remain always in Your holy will and serve Your bride the church with dignity.
- Lord, You are the Good Shepherd. Grant that we may always recognize Your voice. Make our parish and our diocese fruitful ground for vocations. Draw many men to the priesthood and enflame them with courage and zeal for serving You and Your flock.
- Lord, bless all mothers; strengthen and encourage them in this most precious vocation of love. Increase their faith that they might always reflect You to their families. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor them always with a spirit of profound respect.
- Lord, wrap our seniors, and all those supporting them, in Your loving embrace. Shower Your peace and consolation down upon them. Encourage and uplift them. Restore their spirits and heal their discomforts and pain.
- Lord, continue to walk with our RCIA and RCIC participants. Guide their ongoing journeys of conversion, and bring them to the fullness of discipleship. May their witness inspire many others to follow the same path.
- Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit on all those being baptised. Guide their footsteps; grant them ever deepening faith as they grow in their relationship with You. May they come to treasure this amazing gift and learn to walk with conviction as your beloved sons and daughters.
- Lord, lavish Your graces upon the students preparing for Confirmation. Draw them ever closer to You. May their encounter with Your Holy Spirit ignite a fire in their souls to spread Your Kingdom to everyone they meet.
- Lord, we pray for all young people in our parish. Bless their time together that they may experience Your love and support in all they do. Help them to become everything You created them to be, for Your greater glory.
- Lord, enlighten and guide us as we gather to Give God Permission to have His way in our parish, our families, and our world. Strengthen us in Your power as we strive to bring everyone within our parish boundaries to You.
- Lord, draw many participants to this month’s all-night adoration vigil in honour of The Visitation. Mother Mary, open their hearts to a deeper relationship with your beloved Son, and make us ever more responsive to the needs of others.

- Lord, lavish Your graces upon the students preparing for Confirmation. Draw them ever closer to You. May their encounter with Your Holy Spirit ignite a fire in their souls to spread Your Kingdom to everyone they meet.
- Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon everyone in the After-Confirmation Program. Teach them to hear Your voice, and to live in Your Spirit as Your beloved sons and daughters. Inspire in them a lifetime of spiritual growth.
- Lord, anoint our Surge evening this month. Set the hearts of all who take part ablaze through personal encounter with You. Stir in their hearts an ever- increasing desire to worship and praise You.
- Lord, shower Your wisdom and grace upon those forming an Infant Baptismal Preparation Ministry in our parish. Guide and inspire the families that come forward and kindle in them a great love for Your sacraments and Your church.
- Lord, empower and embolden all who join this year’s Door to Door Campaign. Breathe Your Holy Spirit upon everyone within our parish boundaries who does not come to church. Move them to respond by joining our Easter celebrations.
- Lord, help us to enter fully into Holy Week and the Sacred Triduum. Open our hearts to encounter You in new and deeper ways. Convict all hearts of Your Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist. Fill us with hope, and ignite in our hearts a fervent desire to draw all souls to You.
- Lord, drench in the power of Your Holy Spirit all those being received into full communion with Your church this Easter. Convict them of Your Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist and instill in their hearts a deep desire to grow closer to You.

- Lord, we pray for vocations to the priesthood and to consecrated life, especially from within our parish and our diocese. Shine your light upon our Men’s Discernment Group. Reveal Your Holy Spirit to each one through profound encounter with You.
- Lord, fill us with generosity as we respond to the call to fill the St. Vincent de Paul truck with donations of clothing, household items and small furniture. Stir us with compassion for the less fortunate, and bless the people we serve.

- Lord, grant us a fruitful Lent and help us stay faithful to our Lenten promises. Bring forth new life through our sacrifices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
- Lord, guide our Lenten Family Workshop. Inspire all those taking part to deeper intimacy with you. Uplift families, strengthen community, and fill hearts with profound joy, and a great sense of fun.
- Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit on all those being baptised this month. May they come to treasure this amazing gift and learn to walk with conviction as your beloved sons and daughters.
- Lord, shower Your graces upon the students continuing their preparation for Confirmation and 1st Communion, as well as their families. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them and ignite a flame in their hearts for more of You.
- Lord, bless those taking part in the RCIA Scrutinies this month; call them forth to new life, and transform them into faithful disciples who yearn to share You with the world.
- Lord, fill us with a special love for Your foster father, St. Joseph. St. Joseph, we flee to your protection. Deliver us from doubting thoughts. Shield us from confusion, and disordered passions. Preserve us from all affliction and harm.
- Lord, we pray for vocations to the priesthood and to consecrated life, especially from within our parish and our diocese. Shine your light upon our Men’s Discernment group and empower them to always “Give God Permission”.
- Lord, breathe Your Spirit over all who attend the new Spirit in the Desert series this Lent. Anoint them in Your power. Unite their hearts with Yours, and ignite in them a thirst for lost souls.
- Lord, draw many participants to this month’s all-night adoration vigil in honour of The Annunciation. Mother Mary, open their hearts to a deeper relationship with your beloved Son. May all who attend have a profound experience of Jesus’ presence and power in the Blessed Sacrament.
- Lord, envelop all those attending the Young Catholic Professionals Lenten Retreat this month with Your graces and blessings. Show them how You want them to live the faith in their workplaces.

- Lord, bless our Fish Friday event. Shine Your light on all the volunteers and participants. Nourish their bodies as well as their spirits, and fill the atrium with laughter. Enkindle a true spirit of the joy of Christian Community.
- Lord, sanctify our walk with You in Your passion, through our meditations on the Stations of the Cross. Strengthen our faith with every step. Empower us with deeper understanding of You and Your unfathomable love
St. Maurice Parish Prayer Intentions – February
- Lord, shine your light upon our community events this month, especially the annual Spaghetti Dinner. Draw everyone involved closer into community with each other and with you. May this witness of your Triune love inspire others to join our parish.
- Lord, enlighten and inspire our sacramental preparation activities, especially for all those enrolling in Confirmation. Open the ears and eyes of the hearts of all students and their families to the stirrings of the Holy Spirit. Arouse in them a deeper commitment to a life centred on you.
- Lord, bless and inspire those in RCIA & RCIC, as well as our youth and adult faith formation activities, including the Wild Goose sessions. Enlighten them with wisdom and understanding as they continue their journey toward greater communion with you.
- Lord, we pray for the sick, especially on the World Day of the Sick. Bring healing and hope to all who suffer infirmity and sickness, and give strength and compassion to those who care for them.
- Lord, shower your blessings upon this month’s Surge. Draw many participants – both new and returning. Set their hearts ablaze with zeal for sharing your message of salvation, and enkindle a deep desire for your holy presence in the Blessed Sacrament.
- Lord, pour out your Holy Spirit on all those being baptized. Grant them ever-deepening faith as they journey towards you. May they come to treasure this amazing gift and learn to walk with conviction as your beloved sons and daughters.
- Lord, lavish your love on all families in our parish. Protect and watch over them. Grant them ever-deeper affection for each other. Grace them with unity, patience, and understanding, and renew and refresh them this “Family Day.”
- Lord, bless all students who are preparing for their First Communion. Shower them and their families with your abundant blessings. Fill them with your Holy Spirit and draw them into a deeper relationship with you.
- Lord, we pray for vocations to the priesthood and to consecrated life. Inspire many nominations from our parish in the Archdiocese Called by Name program, and shine your light upon our Men’s Discernment group; empower them to always “Give God Permission”.
- Lord, bless all those who volunteer in ministry and service at St. Maurice. Refresh their minds and bodies. Lavish on them your wisdom, and renew them, that they may continue to serve your people.

Intentions for December 2024
- Lord, help us to prepare the way of the Lord this Advent season. May the blessings of our advent mission awaken in us a deep longing to respond … reach out … and receive… as we share Your message of salvation with everyone we meet.
- Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us this Christmas. May the peace and hope of Your nativity live in our hearts, our homes, and our world. Comfort those who find this time of year challenging.
- Lord, bless all those involved in this year’s Christmas pageant, Christmas Hamper Program, and Advent Family Walks. Stir in their hearts a deep gratitude for the precious gift of Your Son Jesus, and for each other. Fill their hearts with joy.
- Lord, we pray for all those who You have called to RCIC and RCIA this year. Fill them with zeal for Your word and for Your church. May this month’s Enrollment of Catechumens uplift and empower all who participate.
- Lord, enlighten and inspire students in the 1st Reconciliation Class, the After confirmation Class, and at the School Liturgy, as well as those in our junior and senior youth groups. Breathe Your Holy Spirit upon them that they might hunger more and more for You.
- Lord, refresh and nourish all Seniors attending 55+, and The Back Nine as well as those living in long-term-care & retirement homes. Guide and comfort them that each one may truly know Your deep abiding love.
- Jesus, Mary and Joseph, instill in our world a commitment to the sacredness of the family, and its beauty in God’s plan. May the feasts of the Holy Family and Mary, Mother of God draw families closer to You.
- Lord, guide many people to this month’s Surge, to the Men’s Discernment Group, and to the post-Alpha Wild Goose sessions. Reveal Your Holy Spirit to each one through profound encounter with You.
- Breathe Your Holy Spirit upon all those living and working within our parish boundaries who do not come to church, especially the unchurched and those who have fallen away. Kindle in us a burning desire to share Christ’s message of salvation with them all. Empower and embolden all who join this year’s Door to Door campaign. Move many to respond and join our celebrations this Christmas.

Intentions for November 2024
- Lord, we pray for all friends and family who have died in the past year, for all parishioners who have died in the past 60 years, and for all those mentioned in our Book of Remembrance. May they enjoy the fullness of joy with You in paradise, and may those who mourn experience Your comfort.
- Lord, thank you for the example of the saints. Help us follow in their footsteps. Saints in Heaven pray for us that we may become holy, and by the witness of our lives direct all glory to God.
- Lord, deliver all souls in Purgatory, especially the most forsaken. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
- Lord, bless the Ministry Leaders' Summit. Guide and inspire all who participate. Nourish and refresh them, and send them forth to serve Your parish with renewed vigor.
- Lord, ignite the hearts of all those taking part in Alpha and this month's Surge with the fire of Your love. Lead each one into a personal encounter with You.
- Lord, shine Your light on our 60th Anniversary Gala. Refresh hearts, spirits and friendships. Strengthen community as You guide us forward into the next 60 years.

- Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit on our Alpha program, especially this month’s Alpha retreat. May all who attend experience a personal and profound encounter with You.
- Lord, shower Your blessings upon all children taking part in our 1st Reconciliation Class, and in the RCIC program. Draw them, their leaders, and their families into an experience of You and Your amazing love. Infuse in their hearts a longing for more of You.
- Lord, we give You thanks for the many blessings and graces that You pour down upon us every day. Help us to be good stewards of all that You entrust to us, and draw us ever deeper into Your abiding presence.

- Lord, we thank you for the precious blood of Jesus, which flowed from His wounded side on the cross for our salvation. May it nourish and protect us always.
- Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit on all those being baptized. Guide their footsteps; grant them ever-deepening faith as they grow in their relationship with You. May they learn to walk with conviction as your beloved sons and daughters
- Lord, we pray for all those travelling or taking a vacation this month. Keep them safe. Restore their bodies and refresh their spirits. Grant them relaxation and renewal. May they find rest, especially rest in You.
- Lord, shower your blessings down upon our Youth attending the Steubenville Conference. Grant them success in their fundraising, safe travels, and profound encounters with you. May the Holy Spirit light a fire in their hearts for discipleship.
- Lord, bless the Family Inner Healing Retreat being held this month. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon all who attend. Shower them with your healing graces. Convert hearts and renew relationships.
