Family Faith Habit for the Month:

Whether everyone writes it in their own little notebook, or shares it around the table at lunch, practice looking for and sharing the “one thing” that really spoke to you at mass on Sunday every week – whether it be something you learned from the readings, the homily, or the music. What did you learn about God’s character? What encouragement or suggestion did God give you? What did you hear that will help you become a better version of yourself this week? How can you put it into practice this week?

Our Next Class: Don’t forget! Our next class is February 13th at 7pm. Please arrive by 6:45 pm to sign in and get your materials for the month. This is the session in which we start our preparations for First Communion!

For the Dads: That Man is You (TMIY) – Saturday, February 2nd
The Winter/Spring session starts on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 from 7:00am-8:30am in St. Maurice Atrium and runs ever Saturday morning until April 20th. All men welcome to attend! The Winter/Spring Session will focus on the Lenten journey and a journey of reflection on how we are living our lives based on how we spend out time, our resources and our energy. Breakfast will be served at 7:00am sharp followed by a 30 min. video and small group discussion. For more information, contact Kevin Gibbs: (613) 818-0742 or kwgboxing@gmail.com

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL FAMILIES – Baptismal Certificates:

Although most families brought the baptismal certificate to show to us at our first class, we do require that each family submit a copy of their child’s baptismal certificate for us to keep on file for the program. You are welcome to either bring a photocopy to our next class, or you are welcome to scan/take a picture of your child’s certificate and e-mail it to me. Whichever is easiest for you! Please e-mail or bring in a copy even if your child was baptized at St. Maurice Parish.

We would love to have you join us!

As always, you are more than welcome to join us at any of our masses this weekend. It’s a great opportunity to refocus and recharge for the week ahead. Our weekend mass schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday – 5pm. (Traditional music with cantor)
  • Sunday – 9am (Contemporary worship music, children’s liturgy offered, coffee social follows mass) Sunday – 11am (Contemporary worship music)
  • Sunday – 7:30pm (Contemporary worship music)

May God bless the week ahead for you and your families!
God bless,

Ellen Hong
