Holy Week Announcements

Parish Office Closed for Holy Week

The parish office will be closed for the duration of Holy Week through Easter Tuesday. The office will re-open on Wednesday, April 24 at 9:30 am. We wish all of you a grace-filled Holy Week and a blessed & joyful Easter celebration.

Extra Parking for St. Maurice Parishioners for the Easter Services

Throughout the Triduum, those attending services at our parish are permitted to park at Meadowlands Public School, 10 Fieldrow St., about a five-minute walk from the Church.  With the happy expectation of big crowds for these liturgies, we invite all those who would not find the walk a hardship, to consider this parking option.

Attention Youth Groups

There is no youth group at St. Maurice Parish on Good Friday, April 19. However, there is a Retreat for grades 9-12 at St. Mary’s Parish, 100 Young St., on that day. It runs from 1:00-10:00 pm, and there is no cost. Retreat participants will be fasting so simple snacks and drinks will be provided. For more info, contact our Youth Coordinator, Matt Dunham: youth@stmauriceparish.com

Adoration Chapel Notice

The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed from the Adoration Chapel on Holy Thursday, April 18 at 12 noon. Regular adoration hours will resume again on Tuesday, April 23 at 5 am. During this time committed adorers do not have to fulfill their vigil hours but all adorers are welcome to spend time in the chapel for quiet prayer.

Easter Vigil – Saturday, April 20 at 8 pm

Please come and join us at our Easter Vigil Mass at 8 pm on Saturday, April 20th.  Bring your bells for the Gloria, and plan to stay for the reception in the atrium following the Mass!

We will be welcoming three men into our Catholic faith community.  Evan and  Christopher will be baptized, confirmed and receive their first Holy Communion.  Robert will be confirmed and enter into full Communion with the Catholic Church.

God is always working, touching people’s hearts and minds.  Let us celebrate with thanksgiving, these three new brothers in Christ.  May God richly bless them and their families on the joy of this holy occasion.
