Welcome to St. Maurice Parish sacramental preparation program!
This year is one of preparation for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion.
We prepare together to come before the mercy of the Lord in First Reconciliation, and to receive God truly present in the Holy Eucharist at the Mass.
To register your child for the First Reconciliation/First Communion Program for the 2020-2021 school year, please complete the Grade 2 Sacrament Preparation Online Registration Form. This program is specifically for grade 2 students. The deadline for registering your child for this program is Tuesday, September 15th.
If you have any children older than grade 2 who need to receive the sacraments, or if you are interested in receiving them as an adult, please fill out the separate “Sacrament Interest Form” as we will be running separate programs for older students and for adults.
Class Schedule 2020-2021
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we are planning on having virtual classes in the fall. Virtual classes will be held once a month on Wednesday evenings from October 2020-May 2021. A computer or smart-phone/tablet, as well as an internet connection will be required. The reception of sacraments themselves will occur in-person. Should the COVID-19 situation change in which we are able to safely meet in person, in-person classes at St. Maurice Parish will be considered.

Policies and Expectations
One parent/legal guardian attends class at the same time as the child. This helps you to strengthen in the understanding of the faith, help lead your child in the class content, and grow as a family of faith. Two absences are permitted, but more than that will require a possible meeting with the Pastor and make up work. In the case of Virtual Classes, class attendance will be counted upon submission of digital assignments by the required due date. Routine make-up lessons are not available. Failure to attend these classes as a family or to submit digital assignments for Virtual Classes, may result in a delay of the reception of the sacraments.
